Physical Challenge

I'm fundraising to show my thanks and support

In 2025, my nephew Kit was diagnosed with Wilms’ tumour, something that completely shook our family. Kit is my sister Becky and brother-in-law Ryan’s son, and as they live in Australia, it was incredibly hard being so far away while they navigated such a challenging time. I have so much admiration for Bec and Ry, who showed incredible strength and resilience for their little boy, and for Kit himself, who faced his journey with such bravery at just 4 years old.

We are so grateful that Kit has come through the other side, and I wanted to find a meaningful way to give back to the charity that supported Bec and Ry throughout that time, especially when I couldn’t be there in person.

So… I am running a half marathon in Ludlow on Sunday 12th July to raise money for this amazing charity. Anyone who knows me knows I am far more comfortable in dance shoes than running trainers, so this will definitely be a challenge — but it feels like a small effort compared to what so many families go through.

If you are able to donate, no matter how big or small, it would mean so much. Your support will help this charity continue the incredible work they do for families facing childhood illness, providing comfort, guidance and strength when it is needed most.

Thank you so much for your kindness and support
