I’m fundraising to support families facing childhood cancer

I’ve decided to raise funds to help kids with cancer, as a young person near & dear to me is currently walking their cancer journey. They have lost all of their hair but can still smile everyday. Their bravery and resilience has inspired me to sacrifice my own hair. All funds will go directly to Redkite to help them help others who go through the experience of childhood cancer.  

Help me help them by donating to my page through the donate button now! The more people who support Redkite enables them to support more children and families, so please donate and share my page with your friends and family! 

I am setting a goal of $1,500 for a complete head shave. 

If I get to $1,250 - I’ll get a really short hair cut

$1,000 = cutting my plat off

$500 & I’ll dye my hair bright red for RedKite.

BUT - I need to get to my goal by Friday 4 December, so donate now before the final day rocks around!!

It’s official - Steve is jumping aboard this hairless train! He has pledged to:
   - shave his legs if we get to $2,500
   - wax his legs if we get to $2,750!

The date of Steve’s hair removal is yet to be decided, but the hair will be removed if the total is made by Friday. Only a few more days to give to this very worthy cause!

Words can not express how grateful I am to all of you who have donated to this cause. I am definitely feeling the love - from those I work with, those I sing with, parents of students that I teach, even a past student has donated! It has been very humbling that so many of you have responded. THANK YOU!!

I can't believe that over the last 3 days, I have more than doubled my total of donations! This means that I'm going to have to do it - the hair is going to be shaved off!! Thank you, thank you, thank you for making a difference in the lives of those doing it tough by donating to this very worthy cause. I will be investigating the best way to share the shave so that all of you can witness it - since you all donated so that it would happen!! xoxoxo

Wow- one week into my fundraising and I have made it to my first goal of $500. Guess what people - I will be dying my hair bright red for RedKite!! Thanks to everyone who has made a donation so far - every little bit helps those families dealing with childhood cancer and YOU are making a difference for them. THANK YOU!!
Two weeks to go but the question still remains.... Will my hair go too?

I can't believe that in the first 48 hours since launching this page, I've already reach over $250 in donations. Thanks everyone!! On one hand, I'm half way to my "hair dying" goal and I'm 1/6 of the way to my ultilmate goal of $1,500. I wonder if I'll make it?

I have just shared my donation page via Facebook - the first space to hear of my plan to shave my head for childhood cancer. It is with part excitement and part fear that I take this first step. But no matter what the final figure is, it feels great to give back to those who provide such wonderful support through a really tough journey that no child should have to endure.  Thanks RedKite for all that you do!!
