We are excited to announce that the Redkite Santa Downwinder will be held on Saturday 14th December 2024! We hope that you are as excited as we are to see this event back up and running again this year, and hope that you will join us in fundraising for Redkite.

Redkite is there with real financial, practical and mental health support for families facing childhood cancer. Whatever challenges cancer puts in a family’s way, Redkite is there to help.

Kiteboarding WA has been supporting Redkite for over 14 years with the kite community successfully raised over $65,000 for children with cancer and their families. 

This event is the perfect time for you to take part in a downwinder, whether you are a newbie to kiting or an all-time pro on Perth’s best downwinder route. We’ll have safety boats and a halfway get-out point to make sure all of Santa’s sleighs end up back at the after-party. The meeting point with be at South Trigg Beach where a coach will take you to the start. The downwinder will begin at Leighton Beach finishing in South Trigg Beach (17 km) or there will be the option to get out at Floreat Groyne.

We are aiming for a sea of Santas so get your outfits at the ready and give us your best Santa Claus impersonation! We can’t wait to see you there …. Ho ho ho!!!!
