When Cancer Turned Their World Upside Down
When Hannah and Ben were told their three-year-old son Kit had leukaemia, their world changed instantly.
Just days earlier, Kit had been a curious, energetic little boy who loved dinosaurs and bugs. But when a fever wouldn’t go away, he was rushed to hospital and quickly diagnosed.
The months that followed were the worst of their lives. Kit became so weak he lost the ability to walk. At one point, his heart rate rose so dangerously his parents feared the worst.
Hannah stopped work to stay by his side. Ben returned to work to support the family—but it meant time away from his son when it mattered most.
With only one income, bills quickly piled up, adding financial stress to an already overwhelming situation.
