Will you help children like Florence and their families tackle the trauma of cancer?
A cancer diagnosis can turn a child’s world upside down overnight.
Florence was just one year old when she was diagnosed with a 14 cm Wilms tumour.
Her mum, Samantha, had just been made redundant, and her dad, Luke, had to stop work to care for Florence and their newborn son, Oliver.
With no income, the family faced overwhelming stress and financial strain. But thanks to Redkite supporters, they were able to stay afloat and focus on what mattered most – Florence.

The trauma wasn’t only medical. It was financial.
When one-year-old Florence was diagnosed with a 14 cm Wilms tumour, her parents’ world collapsed overnight. Samantha was six months pregnant and had just been made redundant, while Luke had to stop work to care for Florence and their newborn son, Oliver.
With no income and months of treatment, surgery, and hospital stays ahead, the family faced overwhelming stress and uncertainty. Redkite supporters stepped in and helped provide the vital support so Samantha and Luke could focus on what mattered most – being there for Florence.
Florence endured gruelling rounds of chemotherapy, frightened and exhausted, while her parents juggled fear, exhaustion, and financial strain. Redkite helped ease the burden, giving the family the support and stability they needed during those incredibly tough times.
Today, Florence is in remission, but the emotional and financial impact of childhood cancer doesn’t disappear when treatment ends. Families like Florence’s are still recovering from the trauma long after the hospital stays are over.
Your donation helps ensure that when a family hears the devastating words, “your child has cancer,” they don’t have to face the trauma alone.
